Can Annalise Keep The Keating 5 Safe On 'HTGAWM'?

As if all of this nonsense with Wes and his mother and Annalise’s baby flashbacks weren’t enough, How To Get Away With Murder still has yet to solve the drama they started the season with — that of the Hapstalls, the rich, adopted siblings who allegedly murdered their parents in cold blood. The show has figured out that it wasn’t Catherine and Caleb but Phillip, their cousin. Well, Phillip is actually Catherine's half-brother or something. It's complicated, okay? But we do know that Phillip is a psychopath, y’all (even Laurel even said it). Phillip is definitely closing in on the Keating Five — can Annalise keep everyone safe?

If Annalise was just dealing with a run-of-the-mill serial killer, I could see her being okay with it. Well, maybe not okay, but I could see her dealing. To show that he is still a presence in Annalise’s life, Phillip has been videotaping the comings and goings of the Keating Five to intimidate them. He also has footage of the night that ADA Emily Sinclair was killed (Asher did that and the rest helped set up the crime scene) and Catherine was drugged to look like a murderer (Frank did that one). Hello, blackmail. This complicates the situation, because Annalise cannot look that good in jail, you know what I mean?

Luckily for Annalise and the Keating Five, she always has a plan. Annalise presented the video evidence to the District Attorney who is still looking for fugitive Phillip in exchange for full immunity for basically everything ever. The DA didn’t exactly bite, but through fudging lawyer protocol and ruling everything in her house inadmissible in court, Annalise saved the cute butts of her team — for now, at least. Mostly, she just really pissed off the DA, so there's even more of a target on their backs now. If you are the law, don't make the law angry, Annalise! If they can’t learn to stay out of trouble and stop murdering people, the law of averages says that they’re going to get busted. Phillip is one step behind the gang, so they better get smart — and fast.
