Swizz Beatz's 5-Year-Old Is A Producer?!

by Caitlyn Callegari

I don't exactly know what I was doing at the age of five, but I can tell you one thing, it was not producing music for a Grammy award winning rapper. But, you see, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys kindergarten-aged son can not say the same. According to Beatz's Instagram account, Swizz Beatz's son, Egypt, produced a song on Kendrick Lamar's new album, Untitled Unmastered. Let that sink in for a minute. Do you feel worse about your decrepitly old self in comparison? Yeah, me too.

But enough about us and our quarter life crises. The more-than-proud papa captioned his Instagram screenshot of Lamar's album at the 3:18 minute mark saying,

This is the best Dad moment everrrrr!!! Congrats to my son Egypt for producing his 1st track on this amazing Kendrick Album. He's only 5yrs old wowwwwwww @aliciakeys look at our lil guy baby #blessingsonblessings thx #Kendrick for investing in the future!!! Track 7.

I can't give enough credit to the little guy for his individual prowess, Because "wow" is right. This is not something just any little kid can do.

If you're skeptical and don't believe that Egypt helped produce Track 7 on Untitled Unmastered, it's no big deal, because Beatz has you covered. He made sure to provide video evidence on his Instagram of his son working on the track. And there's no denying Egypt's influence after watching him effortlessly create a beat. It's abundantly clear that the boy knows his way around the instrument and that his dad is just as impressed (and floored) as we are by it.

You can check out the two videos for yourself below:

See? I told you that he was the real deal. Beatz even makes sure to point out that this was all his sons doing. He wrote, "FYI no help on the beat!!!"

Who knows, maybe Egypt will be a Grammy winner by this time next year. At this rate, maybe he'll even produce his own album. Honestly, nothing seems to be out of the realm of possibility when it comes to this incomparable little guy. Beatz and Keys have got a musical prodigy on their hands.
