11 Places To Shop For Super Cute Petite Shoes

by Eliza Florendo

Shopping for cute, polished, and sophisticated shoes when you've got small feet is sort of like finding a four-leaf clover: It's extremely difficult, but not exactly impossible. Still, it's tough, but shoe shopping for small feet doesn't have to be a drag. Don't get me wrong: I've missed out on so many pairs of shoes that just don't come in a size 5, but there is a silver lining to it all.

And that's the joy you do feel when you score a pair of amazing shoes in your size. It's no cosmic coincidence: It's fate. They belong to you and your beautiful feet. Am I being dramatic? A little, but when you've got limited options for your tiny feet, it feels so, so good to score on the perfect pair of shoes.

Since I was a teen, I'd curse my mother for giving me her feet. They're so identical, in fact, that my siblings often tease me for it. They're small, a little on the wide side, and definitely don't look perfect in a lot of shoes. This was especially difficult a few years ago, when the smallest size most brands would carry was a six. But now, more recently, shoe brands have been expanding into smaller and larger sizes, and I have to say thank you for that.

But as I've grown up, I've learned exactly where to shop to get my fabulous shoe fix on, without feeling the deep remorse for not having my size. Sure, this happens on the daily, but the options are only growing. I just have to say: Get there faster! So for all of you teeny feet shoppers like me, here's exactly where to shop and why.

1. Sam Edelman

Yates Beaded Block Heel, $275, samedelman.com

Hi, pretties. I'd say about 70% of my shoes come from Sam Edelman. They even go down to a size 4 and 4.5, depending on the shoe. Plus, they're super well made and comfortable, and have lasted me years. And that's in New York City streets, so you know they're tough.

2. Nordstrom Rack

Cole Haan Carya High Heel Sandal, $129.97, nordstromrack.com

The best part about Nordstrom Rack? The items are discounted, so you can totally score these gorgeous sandals for way, way less. And, with racks and racks of size 4.5 and 5, they've got so many choices to choose from.

3. Nordstrom

Vince Camuto Tarita Cut Out Lace-Up Sandal, $128.95, shop.nordstrom.com

So into the tan color of these. In the same vein as Nordstrom Rack, Nordstrom, it's momma company, has sizes 4, 4.5, and 5 depending on the shoe. Time to shop until you drop.

4. Kenneth Cole

Kenneth Cole Black Label Allena Open Toe Heel, $275, kennethcole.com

Bless you, Kenneth Cole. So many cool styles, most in size 5.

With just a little heel, these are the perfect daytime sandal for the spring and summer. Plus, Cole Haan shoe are insanely comfortable.

6. Senso

Senso Valleri VII, $295, senso.com.au

Senso shoes are definitely an investment, but so worth it. I've worn my pair to the ground. They're shoes are super cool and chic, and most of them come in a size 5. Total win.

7. Loeffler Randall

Loeffler Randall Ambra Lace Up Flat, $295, loefflerrandall.com

Again, a bit more of an investment piece, but your feet will thank you.

8. Vince Camuto

Vince Camuto Tany-Snake Embossed Gladiator Sandal, $98, vincecamuto.com

I love a good Gladiator sandal, and this one doesn't disappoint. And I can attest: Vince Camuto shoes are ultra-comfy.

9. Jeffrey Campbell

Jeffrey Campbell Caprese-R, $115, jeffreycampbellshoes.com

These are the flat sandals you'll be wearing all season long. While the smallest sizes for most JC shoes are a size 6, there are some 5s sprinkled in there, if you look hard enough!

10. Madewell

Madewell The Warren Sandal, $148, madewell.com

I own these in black, and they're the most comfortable "heeled" sandals I own. And they're super cute. Madewell does a great job of carrying size 5 in most of their styles!

11. ASOS

ASOS TACO Western Heeled Sandals, $65, us.asos.com

Western is all the rage right now, and these sandals are legitimately perfect. I'm adding them to my shopping cart right now. ASOS has pages upon pages of size 4, 4.5, and 5 shoes. It's a stylish playground in there.

If you're feeling left out because of your teeny feet, take in a breath of relief. There are options! It just takes a little extra time of looking. And with spring quickly approaching, it's time to get started!
