Rob & Chyna Go Back On That Whole Privacy Thing

Not even three days after Rob Kardashian said he and Blac Chyna planned to keep "a lot more to ourselves" for the sake of maintaining a healthy relationship, they kinda went ahead and did the complete opposite. In fact, Rob Kardashian is shirtless in Blac Chyna's new Snapchat video — a surprise not only because the formerly reclusive Kardashian looks healthy, happy, and confident, but also because I'm pretty sure "shirtless and barbecuing on Snapchat" falls under the category of public consumption.

Sure, I'm calling them out for being contradictory — it's impossible not to when they announced they were keeping their relationship closer to the vest just several days ago — but the fact of the matter is, the video is super sweet. Chyna, who is grilling something that looks like deliciously like lemon chicken, first focuses the camera on Kardashian, who is hanging out on the balcony above. Kardashian, who was diagnosed with diabetes after gaining 100 pounds in a year, according to People, appears to have lost a significant amount of weight and is smiling and laughing as Chyna yells out, "Rooo-oooob!" below.

Ever since Kardashian and Chyna went public with their relationship earlier this year, they've lived it out on social media, sharing everything from super close-up selfies to bizarre pantry tour videos to NSFW memes. Maybe they just couldn't make the whole "private" thing work.

"Chy and I are not broken up we just feel like it would be a lot healthier for our relationship if we kept a lot more to ourselves," Kardashian announced on Instagram the other day, deleting all of the prior photos on his account. "It's impossible to have a positive relationship with so much negativity from the media and outsiders and we would appreciate it if everyone respects that -ChyRo."

Fair enough, but it's just hilarious to me that a few days later they were Snapchattin' even more intimately than before. Again, there is absolutely nothing "wrong" with the Snapchat video — it is impossibly sweet and shows an adorably playful side of "ChyRo" (and a buff one of Rob) — it's just the complete and total opposite of everything they said they were going to be doing just days before. I mean, hey, maybe this was a subtle way of Kardashian showing off his weight loss (a stealthy video from a flattering angle surely is more nonchalant than a blatant gym mirror selfie). The contradiction is just amusing.

If the video does prove one thing, however, it's that Kardashian and Chyna do seem like they have a healthy relationship. The two are not only giggling and obviously happy, but Chyna appears to be a really great influence on the reality star. Since the pair have been together, she's brought the reality star back into the public eye, bringing him out of his shell, making him smile, and making sure he eats healthy (grilled lemon chicken, anyone?) Whether they choose to document their relationship on social media or not, I have to say, their happiness is infectious.
