Here's Where You Can Get Free Ice Cream This Week

by Michelle Regalado

Ice cream lovers will have a reason to celebrate this Tuesday, March 15: it's Dairy Queen's Free Cone Day. That's right — for one day only, Dairy Queen is giving customers free small ice cream, with no other purchase necessary. The promotion is only occurring in select locations though, so read on to figure out where to get a free Dairy Queen cone.

According to Dairy Queen's website, Free Cone Day is only occurring at participating non-mall locations in the U.S., so anyone seeking free ice cream will have to go to their nearest free-standing location. Some seasonal locations are also not open for business yet, but you can confirm where your nearest branch is and if it's open on Dairy Queen's store locator map.

The Dairy Queen promo is only good for one small vanilla cone, so you'll have to pay to add any toppings, like sprinkles or hot fudge. Then again, it may be worth sticking with vanilla for the day, even if you're normally more of a chocolate person. After all, it's free!

There's also a limit of only one free cone per person, so you won't be able to load up for your family or friends. But bring them along and you'll have plenty of company while waiting for your cone.

Not to mention, Free Cone Day may also be the perfect excuse to take a much-needed break during a busy Tuesday. After all, what's better than free ice cream to brighten up your week? So mark your calendars and enjoy!
