Ben's Mom Didn't Like Ben's 'Bachelor' Pick Best

by Molly Freeman

During the season finale of The Bachelor, Ben attempted to decide who he should offer his final rose to and choose as his official winner of the season. Making the situation more difficult, Ben told both Lauren and JoJo that he's in love with them. So, to get some perspective Ben introduced both women to his parents and coming out of those interactions it seemed JoJo seemed to be the winner based on parental approval. In fact, last week The Bachelor Facebook page posted a video of Ben's mom saying JoJo was her favorite, but has since deleted it from the show's official Facebook page. ABC declined to comment when asked.

So, what does that mean? Well, since Ben chose Lauren as his winner on The Bachelor, it might look a little strange of the show had posted video proof that his mom actually thought the other woman was a better match for him — though I don't think I'd go so far as to say Amy would be on board with Ben pulling a Jason Mesnick. But, what really seemed to confirmed Lauren would be the woman Ben proposes to is the fact that The Bachelor pulled the video from Facebook — forgetting the first rule of the internet: Once it's out there, it's out there.

To add another check in the Lauren column, Ben seemed to have a different take away from his parents meeting his two finalists. Amy seemed to like JoJo better and Ben's father David said that JoJo addressed his concerns about the relationship before he could even ask her. But, on the other hand, it seemed Ben was just focused on the fact that his parents thought Lauren was elegant (though he did admit that he and Lauren hadn't gone through any situations that tested their relationship).

So, is this a case of The Bachelor using some creative editing and social media to present a united #TeamLauren front? Without ABC's confirmation, we'll just have to speculate away.
