12 Thought-Provoking Easter Quotes

by Chelsey Grasso

Whether or not you will celebrate Easter religiously this coming Sunday, there is definitely some powerful symbolism in the holiday that everybody can benefit from. These 12 thought-provoking Easter quotes hit the nail on the head in regards to this concept, and I have to say, whether you're Christian or not, there is some serious wisdom in the allegory of the entire holiday.

If you aren't exactly sure what Easter celebrates, let me quickly clarify. Christians believe that the biblical figure of Jesus Christ rose from the dead three days after his crucifixion, thus paying for the world's imperfections through his own shed blood. That's the gist of it, anyway. So Easter Sunday represents the day of Jesus' rising, and subsequently, a day of renewal, hope, and joy for mankind.

That being said, I'm pretty sure that we could all use a lot more experiences of renewal, moments of hope, and feelings of joy in our lives on a regular basis. This year, take a moment between dyeing eggs and buying chocolates to find a few minutes of self-awareness in your day. No matter how chaotic or busy your day is, these quotes can help you find that time... I promise.
