Abigail Breslin Is A Brunette Again

by Sienna Fantozzi

Usually we see celebrities dying their hair in a new, unusual color, but the latest color transformation is something a little more familiar. Abigail Breslin dyed her hair brown, according to People Magazine, making this the first time we've seen her natural hair color in several years. And she's totally rocking it, of course.

In a weirdly coincidental turn of events, several celebrities (Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sarah Hyland, and Shailene Woodley) have gone dark for roles this month, and now we can add another star to the list. Breslin debuted a dark dye job on Instagram over the weekend, which is quite a dramatic switch-up from her previously bleached blonde locks. The 19-year-old wasn't just looking to get back to her roots, though, the new hair color is actually for her upcoming role as "Baby" in ABC's live Dirty Dancing reboot (and ICYMI — a role in the same production is why Sarah Hyland went dark, as well).

Given that Breslin is a natural brunette, the switch probably wasn't as shocking to her, but for the rest of us who haven't seen her natural color (or even forgot she was brunette) in years, it definitely is a change — but one that looks so great.

The snap totally teases us since she has her hair up, so we can't see it in full, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it live on TV, and you can tell it's much darker than the blonde she was before:

Though she's been blonde for several years, she's played around with it, like getting purple tips:

And even going platinum:

But in case you've forgotten what her natural hair color looks like...

Adorbs. She was so cute, and totally rocks it with both colors.

Now we just need her to stop teasing us and show us the makeover in full!
