As we all know, makeup can be pretty pricey, so it's important to get your money's worth out of each product by using it until the very last drop. However, makeup users know that this is much easier said than done. From constrictive packaging to finicky formulas, there are a lot of reasons that you could be missing out on valuable product. However, before you throw in the towel on your beauty routine, know that there are several small ways that you can prolong the life of your makeup. Whether it's something simple like scraping the bottom of the jar or a little more creative like mixing formulas, there are tons of hacks on how to get the most out of your beauty buys.

So, go ahead, and save your shopping run for another day. There is still plenty of product left that you have yet to use. All you have to do is find an easy way to get it to budge. If it's a liquid, try blasting it with heat from your hair dryer to loosen the product. If it's in a bottle, simply flipping it upside down might do the trick. There are plenty of ways to get the most out of your products. Here are nine other easy ways to use your makeup to the very last drop without going crazy.

1. Scrape Away

Beauty Spatula, $6.30, amazon.com

Use a small spatula to scrape every last drop out of your bottle. Transfer the makeup into a small plastic container for easier access.

2. Use Water

According to Byrdie.com, you should be reaching for a glass of warm water the next time you find your makeup next-to-empty. Simply stick the product in the water for 10 minutes, and then flip the product upside down, so that it transfers to the top of the tube. Voila — good as new.

3. Thin It Out

Noticing that your favorite polish is running low? Return it to its original consistency by using a nail polish thinner. The solution will help the product to loosen up, and restore life back into the product. Just add a few drops of the liquid into your polish, and shake to distribute.

4. Snip, Snip

Don't let any product in plastic tubes go to waste. Just cut them open! Cosmopolitan recommends taking a sharp pair of scissors to the product to scrap out every last drop. However, be sure to have a plastic container on hand to store the remaining product.

5. Get Salty

Dried out makeup can be such a drag! Bring them back to life by adding a few drops of saline solution to the product. Cosmopolitan swears it will make the product like new again.

6. Improve Your Storage

8. Use Ice

Before sharpening your eyeliner, SheFinds.com suggests sticking the pencil into the freezer (or simply putting on ice) for five minutes to harden the product. This way the liner is less likely to crumble when you sharpen it.
