Amy Schumer Stands With Hillary Clinton

More and more celebrities are coming forward with who they are supporting during the 2016 presidential race. On Wednesday, Amy Schumer officially endorsed Hillary Clinton on social media with quite the announcement photo of herself wearing a figure skater's costume in front a seated Clinton. FYI, the photo is a snapshot from when they both appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in September 2015. And once you get past her attire (BTW, she totally rocks it), you should definitely absorb her caption, which reads, "#imwithher rememeber [sic] what thumper said everyone."

Who is Thumper? Well, I can only imagine Schumer is referring to Thumper the adorable rabbit from Bambi. Only true fans will remember what Thumper said. Not only is he famous for thumping his foot, but he also has a memorable quote from the 1942 animated film. After his mother says to him, "What did your father tell you this morning?" Thumper then says, "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all." The Golden Globe-nominated actor recognizes not everyone will agree with her supporting Clinton or her opinions, but that doesn't mean she wants to hear from the haters.

It's really no surprise that Schumer is backing Clinton, because on more than one occasion she's discussed the possible future POTUS and has had nothing but positive things to say about the presidential candidate.

With that, let's look at a few of the times Schumer's stood with Clinton.

When They Were On Ellen Together

If Schumer is willing to wear this hilarious costume in front of Clinton and then skate around the stage while still wearing it, well, I'm pretty sure that proves she'll go above and beyond for her. Plus, she even called her "Hil" showing just how tight they really are.

When She Mentioned Clinton At The MTV Movie Awards

During her opening monologue at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, Schumer of course mentioned Clinton. She said, "And, of course, I have to mention the big news today. After months of speculation, Hillary Clinton finally announced she's taking Zayn's spot in One Direction. The first woman in One Direction. I never thought I'd see the day! This is going to be the party of the year; I just hope Harrison Ford doesn't crash it." Bam.

When She Admitted To Being A Hardcore Clinton Fan

While chatting with GQ in July 2015 about first meeting Clinton, she said,

A couple of months ago, [at the] Glamour Women of the Year [event], but I've always been a fan. It was very cool. She was a good audience member — she commented on a couple of the jokes I told. I said that in L.A. my arms register as legs, and she really liked that. She was, "I can relate." And one of the acts that had gone up before me did some stuff that was very disrespectful to her, and I definitely didn't think it was funny, and I said to her, like, "What the f*ck was that?" She just goes, "Par for the course ... I'm so used to it."

When She Got To Meet Clinton

In September 2015, ELLE released the following video before Lena Dunham's huge interview with Clinton for Lenny Letter was released. Basically, Dunham and Schumer faced off over meeting Clinton. Yes, it's as hilarious as it sounds.

Yeah, it's been pretty apparent for awhile now that Schumer would back Clinton.
