You Need To See Kylie Jenner's Lip Gloss Swatches

by Jessica Thomas

April 1 marks the (most likely) release of Kylie Jenner's Lip Kit Gloss collection, and I for one can't wait. After I figured out when they would be released and how many colors were in her collection, I immediately had to wonder what Jenner's lip gloss swatches looked like. Luckily, Jenner knows her fans like as much information as possible when it comes to her new releases, and she created the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account as the best place to look for the most up-to-the-minute information about her products.

We know Jenner's new Lip Kit Glosses come in three shades, "Like," "Literally" and "So Cute," and we know how they look on (probably) because they're featured in Jenner's music video announcing the launch of her lip glosses. From the catchy song to the adorable outfits, there were so many things to focus on in the video, and I have to admit I was distracted enough that I didn't pay super close attention to how the glosses looked on the models in the video.

Luckily, Jenner posted swatches of the lip glosses on her Kylie Cosmetics Instagram, so we can all see how they'll look on skin. Here's the first view:

As you can see, they're surprisingly wearable when you look at them on the model's skin. Although the colors look pretty muted and dark in the tubes, on the skin, they definitely look more pink and natural. From what I can see, the colors are not sparkly at all — just super glossy and smooth. Considering Jenner's Lip Kit colors are all very matte, this isn't too surprising.

I wanted to see the texture of the lip glosses as well, so I was super happy that Jenner posted another video of the gloss being applied. There's nothing like seeing products in action to get a better idea for how they'll work when you use them. Jenner's new gloss seems to go on super smoothly, and the color is really pigmented and opaque — although the model puts on two coats of the gloss in this video, it's clear you probably only need one to get the full effect of the gloss. To me, that's a key selling point for these glosses. I love when a little goes a long way with a product.
