You have to hear this girl sing

Second time will definitely be the charm for American Idol contestant, Briana Oakley. The cool, curly-haired Jordin Sparks look-alike made her way back into the competition this year after being eliminated during Hollywood Week in 2013. During her audition, she admitted that she decided to return to the competition this year the moment she was eliminated last year, and we couldn't be more thankful for that decision. After making it through the group round of Hollywood Week last Thursday and without any noticeable flaw in sight, we're certain she is here to stay — and win the whole thing altogether.

The voice on this girl alone is enough to blow the rest of the current contestants out of the water. While the lineup of American Idol potentials certainly have some degree of talent, ability, and passion for the industry, it is unmatched by Oakley's sheer powerhouse vocals. Her range seems to have no limits, her vocal runs challenge Mariah Carey's very best, and her sound is unlike anything we've heard before.

Judge Jennifer Lopez immediately pinned her as a "Jordin Sparks," but I would argue that she is even better than the 2007 winner. While it's still very early in the competition, it's clear that Oakley is making every performance count in fear of squandering any precious Idol time. She's already performed such gorgeous renditions of Sara Bareilles' "Stay," Pixie Lott's "Mama Do," and Lorde's "Royals" that they should be available for iTunes download. We need to hear these over and over.

Though she's only 17-years-old, there is no doubt that Oakley has the skill, the capacity, the look, and the personality to be American Idol's most perfect musical package. We can't wait to see what she has in store. More importantly, we can't wait to buy her album.
