Look at The Falcon's Poster for 'Captain America'

by Celeste Mora

The trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier was the most-watched ad on Super Bowl Sunday. This means that Americans must be at least a little excited for Chris Evans' muscle-bound patriot to return to the big screen. News of Robert Redford's arrival as a villain has made all Cap fans even more crazy, eclipsing the fact that, for the first time, a Marvel movie will feature an African American hero — The Falcon. While The Falcon appears briefly in the trailer and has been confirmed as a new character in the movie, fans seem more obsessed with the Black Widow's waist than the Falcon's wings.

To be fair, Anthony Mackie's tech-enhanced Falcon wasn't given much time in the now-famous trailer, and Marvel hasn't leaked his poster to accompany the images of Redford, Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Samuel L. Jackson's. Or, at least, they haven't released it in the US.

A new poster depicting the Falcon in mid-soar has just popped up in Spanish-speaking countries, and it has our attention. The Falcon/Sam Wilson looks as if Anthony Mackie took workout tips from Thor, then donned Hitchcock's sunglasses, and the trappings of a fighter jet.

Hopefully Marvel won't be keeping this poster from English-speakers for long, because we need to get more excited to see the Falcon on the big screen.
