'Bachelorette' JoJo Has One Of The Hottest Casts

by Molly Freeman

Ok, Bachelor Nation buds, how are you doing with this hiatus between The Bachelor and The Bachelorette? Are you keeping up to date on creator Mike Fleiss' spoiler-filled tweets? Are you hiding under a rock to stay away from those and other spoilers? Either way, I've got you covered for JoJo's season with the one thing you need to know about The Bachelorette before it premieres. And that is — drumroll, please! — the fact that, according to Fleiss' tweets, this season's group on The Bachelorette is "one of the hottest casts" in Bachelorette history.

Apparently, this tidbit comes from the female crew members on JoJo's season of The Bachelorette and, although this sounds like a case of Chris Harrison crying "the most dramatic season/episode/finale/reveal yet!" I'm willing to believe that the crew members aren't trying to pull a fast one on us. Of course, this new cast has some big shoes to fill since the gentlemen who appeared on Season 11 of The Bachelorette to win the heart of Kaitlyn Bristowe (or Britt Nilsson) were extremely charming and attractive. But, taking Fleiss' comment one step further, I have a few theories on how one of The Bachelorette's "hottest casts" can impact JoJo's entire season.

First off, let's start with the most obvious: more attractive men could make JoJo's decisions more difficult. I'm not saying looks are the be-all and end-all of relationships, or that JoJo may consider looks more than other things like personality (because I don't believe that at all), but they do factor into the decision-making process. Plus, in the early days of the season when there are an overwhelming number of men and JoJo has little time to spend getting to know everyone, it's pretty much a given that attractiveness and chemistry will factor into the decision more so than perhaps later on.

But, while the hotness of JoJo's Bachelorette gentlemen may impact her in some way, it could also have an affect on viewers — which is to say, draw in more of them. What is The Bachelor and The Bachelorette franchise if not a reality TV event where those of us at home watch very attractive people try to find love? If that's the case, then a cast full of attractive people can only add to the fun, and perhaps even the drama on screen.

There may not be any science to prove attractive people cause more drama, but I believe the fact that the casting directors for The Bachelorette managed to outdo themselves in terms of hotness factor with this season's cast could indicate they're leaning into the idea that viewers tune in to the show for the sole purpose of watching attractive people attempt to find love on ridiculously cheesy dates — and all the drama that naturally comes along with that process. Plus, I may not be able to prove that a more attractive cast will lead to a better season, but I feel confident Season 12 of The Bachelorette may help give weight to my theory.

So, while Fleiss and others are offering spoiler-filled tidbits from the upcoming season, the hotness of the cast isn't going to ruin anything. But, that being said, it is certainly worth remembering, especially as we get closer to the premiere of JoJo's season of The Bachelorette.
