'Community' Star Yvette Nicole Brown Plays K/D/M

by Taylor Ferber

It's hard to believe it, but it’s been a full year since the world last saw new episodes of Community. After six glorious seasons, the show is unfortunately no longer with us — nor is the arrival of the overdue Community movie. Luckily, the game of Kill, Do, Marry will live on forever.

Bustle caught up with TV’s biggest on-screen brownie advocate, Yvette Nicole Brown, at the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s Reel Stories, Real Lives event in Los Angeles Thursday night to take a little trip down memory lane. When asked to consider her co-stars Chevy Chase, Joel McHale, and Allison Brie for a short round of K/D/M, she was totally game — and her answers are everything.

“I would marry Joel McHale, ‘cause he’s very rich,” she says immediately. “I would do Allison Brie ‘cause she’s very beautiful. I don’t like girls, but if you gotta do somebody, do Allison Brie.” (Ain’t that the truth.) But sadly, this leaves us left with only Chase, who had to get the axe. “I’d kill Chevy, ‘cause he’s lived a good life,” says Brown. “He’s there, Chevy’s climbed the mountain. Allison and Joel are still living. Chevy, we gotta let you go. Had a good run."

This doesn't have to do with all that old drama that allegedly caused Chase to leave the show, does it? Regardless, she handled the game like a champ.

But, wait. There’s more.

“I’d [also] marry Allison,” she adds. “‘Cause Allison’s a good cook.” To Brown, a true bae knows their way around the kitchen, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Touché, YNB. Touché.
