2014 Westminster Dog Show Winner Has a Killer Beard That Looks Somewhat Familiar... PHOTOS

People often find it offensive to be compared, looks-wise, to a dog, and while I can absolutely understand why that might be an issue, in the specific case of being compared to Sky, the wire fox terrier who won the Westminster Dog Show, I would think it an honor. After all, just look at her beard, her adorable little walk/run, and once again her beard. I feel no shame in saying that I almost wish for one myself.

In honor of Sky's impressive win, and her even more impressive beard, here are some celebrities whose facial hair, and faces resemble our mighty Westminster warrior. For those of you still harboring reservations about being compared to a dog, just remember, Sky isn't just any dog, she is a winner, and being compared to a winner is never an insult.

Seth Rogen

Seth’s beard is the same color as the tawny part of Sky’s luscious coat, plus they’re both obviously top dog. See what I did there, work in my love of Seth Rogen with a dog joke? HAHAHAHAHA. Seth would win the Westminster of my heart, not sorry about it.

Joaquin Phoenix

This is from that golden “Is he crazy, isn’t he crazy?” period, where Joaquin was being totally method and just prepping the world for a role in a movie. Anyhow, he turned out to be completely sane, but his beard, well, his beard was revolutionary. It looks as well conditioned and combed as Sky’s own, and here’s to betting he didn’t have a beard groomer whose unique goal was to make it as shiny and glorious as possible. You go Joaquin!

Jeremy Clarkson

OK, so perhaps this is rude, since Jeremy Clarkson (of Top Gear game) has no facial hair to speak of, but he does have that tuftiness to his hair, plus he has the long face and doleful eyes that remind us ever so much of our Westminster favorite. He’s like Sky, if Sky were older and unusually hairless. But, I still think he’s cute, so it works out? Maybe?

Zach Galifianakis

Sweet jesus, this man is adorable. I’d write something pithy but I’m way too busy having a very vivid daydream wherein I’m in the middle of Sky and Zach running toward me in slow motion, beards all a-flutter, coming in for the best, most ginger hug ever. I could then die happy, knowing I had been snuggled by two of the most regal beards in all the world.

Ian McKellen

Right, I’m including the inspirational Ian McKellen because Sky’s little mustache bit is a distinguished shade of white, so it seemed pertinent to address that within this list of heroes/bearded men. Ian’s beard has the same, combed-but-full-of-body ness to it that Sky’s does. That, or I’ve spent way too much time looking at beards and dogs today.

Jeff Bridges

Jeff’s man-bun plus manicured beard toe the delicate line between groomed and masculine, much like Sky did in her award-winning dog show style. Plus, I bet that Jeff is the perfect combination of laid back and loving, just like the perfeeeect dog. But that’s a weird thing to say so let’s return to the polished/manly thing about the hair. Yeah.

Michael C. Hall

And just to end on a tawny-beard note, here we have Michael C Hall, whose mighty golden beard can serve as an inspiration to Sky’s colorist (oh come on, he totally has one.) Again, the consistency of the beard is paramount, now, we have yet to see him jump over those weird pole things, but I’m going to go ahead and give this beard Best In Show.
