Do you flock to the movies every chance you get? Do you think of film characters as some of your best friends? Have you memorized so many films that you catch yourself speaking in quotes? Well you, my friend, have a bit of an obsession, and a Brooklyn-based comedy troupe has decided to make fun of you. They've illustrated the perils of becoming a movie buff in their latest YouTube sketch just in time for Valentine's Day. Ever wonder what happens when two movie buffs break up? The New York based, five member comedy group, POYKPAC, released the new video on Tuesday called Movie Title Breakup: It's an original and comedic take on the cliche breakup scene only this time, the dialogue is made entirely of movie titles— 157 of them, to be exact.
The video, which has already garnered over 80,000 views on YouTube, stars comedians Jenn Lyon and Ryan Hunter as the couple in question. While the two characters speak in movie titles, the movies they are referencing appear in between them on the screen, just in case you don't recognize them. Some of these movie titles, like Layer Cake and Phffft, actually exist, apparently.
One thing is for sure: if you're a die-hard movie buff, we'd suggest you steer clear of dating another movie buff, or your break-up may go a little something like this:
