Are Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipsticks Vegan?

Yes, Kylie Lip Kits are all the rage when it comes to matte liquid lipsticks. But there is another brand that sells a killer, highly pigmented, and mega matte lippie. The Velour Liquid Lipsticks by Jeffree Star Cosmetics, a brand launched by former Myspace star and current makeup maven Jeffree Star, are divine. These lippies have developed a cult following of devotees, most shades sell out on the regular, and Jeffree Star and co. continue to create and sell new shades, like the purple gunmetal hue Scorpio. The brand is also developing new products, such as the Skin Frost Highlighters, which are due in May, and the Beauty Killer eyeshadow palette, which lands on May 25. Jeffree Star products are sold mostly via the brand's site. But are the super popular lip products cruelty-free? Are they vegan?

Yes, they are!

The brand proudly (and often) touts both its cruelty-free and vegan status in its Instagram bio and it hashtags most product shots with both #crueltyfree and #vegan. That means no animals were harmed in order to create or test these products and there are no animal-derived ingredients.

JSC also answers the always important cruelty-free question in the FAQ section of its official site.

Here is the question.

Here is the answer.

Interestingly, the site does not have an official question and answer about whether or not the products are vegan in the FAQ. Bustle reached out to Jeffree Star Cosmetics in order to to fully confirm that all of the products are vegan. We'll let you know when we hear back.

But, in the meantime, I clicked on all the available products that are currently for sale on the site, which are the Velour Lip Scrubs and the Velour Liquid Lipsticks. All are listed as "vegan" in the product descriptions.

Like so! Absorb those cute usage tips, too! It's OK to smooch but layoff the make out sesh while rocking a Velour. Too adorbs.

Talk about color payoff, right?

The upcoming eyeshadow palette is also vegan.

You can feel (and look) good when using JSC products.
