Her New 'Tammy' Trailer is Hilarious

by Ivy Jacobson

After having a bad day, don't you just want to rob a fast food restaurant? Well, thats at least how Melissa McCarthy feels in the trailer for Tammy , her new upcoming comedy that she co-wrote, which hits theaters on July 2. While we're pretty bummed that we have to wait that long to see McCarthy's comedic genius on the big screen, the trailer was released on Tuesday, and watching the first 10 seconds alone is enough to make us laugh until our questions are answered.

Who is Tammy? Why does she want to incompetently rob a fast food restaurant called Toppy Jacks? And why did she choose a paper bag to put over her head instead of a ski mask to do the deed? Maybe Shia LaBeouf has been rubbing off on her.

What we do know about the film is that McCarthy's co-stars are Susan Sarandon, Allison Janney, Kathy Bates, and Dan Aykroyd. McCarthy stars as Tammy, who's described as a woman who lost her job and finds out that her husband is being unfaithful — so she decides to go on a road trip with her alcoholic grandmother, Pearl, played by Sarandon. Perfect. We're guessing that this fast food restaurant robbery is only one of the hijinks that happens along the way.
