The Earring Trends You Need To Get On For Spring

Any chance you hung onto your sparkly dangle puff earrings from Limited Too? Because Spring 2016 earring trends celebrate loud statements, shiny embroidery, and sci fi-ish quirk. It's time to let your freak flag fly — or, well, dangle.

While 2015 was all about minimalist stud earring looks, Spring '16 NYFW indicated that this season will be anything but. It's almost like all the couture designers teamed up and decided to go big or go home. Oscar de la Renta went regal with giant tapestry earrings, Gucci opted for stacked embellished medallions, and Prada's models rocked, in the words of In Style, "head-turning embellished orbs that looked like disco ball ornaments." And, not exactly surprisingly, goth-loving Alexander Wang went for long chain links.

Ultimately, I think Man Repeller's Amelia Diamond best captured how to approach this (or any other) trend. She advised, "Remember that in the best way possible, spring means nothing when it comes to seasoning your lobe, which means now is as good a time as any to showcase the evergreen, big earring 'trend' ... Put a dangly disco ball on your ear and call it a holiday." #Preach
