JT Didn't Invite Lance To His Wedding, But It's OK

I don't know about you, but I wish I could've snagged an invite to Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's wedding in 2012. However, the same can't be said for one of JT's former *NSYNC bandmates. During an appearance on Kocktails With Khloé, Lance Bass said he isn't mad at Timberlake for not inviting him or the other members to his wedding. The former boy bander is totally cool with it, because the reason behind him not being invited was actually very thoughtful

After being asked whether or not he was invited to his friend's big day, Bass responded, "That, everyone always asks that. And here's the real answer — is no. We were not. And a lot of people are like, 'That is so rude,' but I, I, if you think of it this way, you'll understand why we didn't go."

At first, that might be shocking. Why wouldn't the "SexyBack" singer invite Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, and Joey Fatone to one of the most special days of his life? But when you hear Bass' perspective it makes a lot more sense. As he explained to Khloé Kardashian,

When we get together, the five of us, it is, it's a spectacle. I mean, we rarely are all five together. You know, four of us will be together, three of us, but all five, people go nuts and it's all about *NSYNC and it's just taking picture after picture and, you know, he wanted that wedding to be about Jessica, you know, and he didn't want it to be an *NSYNC reunion.

Don't worry, it's not like the Grammy-winning singer didn't call and explain to Bass why he wouldn't be attending. "Oh yeah, definitely," he said about whether or not JT gave him a reason for not receiving an invitation. "You know, we had the engagement party and all that, so that was, you know, lots of fun. But yeah, I mean, I totally understand and I respect that and I think it's kind of romantic to make it all about her, for that day. It was very thoughtful."

OK, well, even I understand that. As disappointing as it might've been for the former boy banders, sometimes you have to take one for the team in the land of Hollywood. Plus, it's not like they are no longer friends or anything. I mean, Bass is friends with Justin freaking Timberlake, so what's there to be mad about? Would you rather go to JT's wedding or be friends with him for life? I vote for the latter.

If you really think about, it's kind of like they're even. Timberlake didn't even go to Bass' wedding to Michael Turchin in December 2014. Granted, Bass did invite him to his nuptials, he also revealed on Kocktails With Khloé, but Timberlake couldn't make it because that was his last day of touring. Don't fret, Chasez, Fatone, and Kirkpatrick were all in attendance.

Bass also opened to DailyMail.com in January 2015 about JT's absence and said, "I feel like I snubbed him. I didn't think to check with his schedule to see that he was still on tour. I had no idea that someone would be on tour that close to Christmas." He continued, "So I didn't think about it. It sucked he wasn't able to come, but we are alright." Bass said Timberlake also sent him a "nice note on the day of the wedding," because that's what friends do.

When you experience life as a boy band, you form an unbreakable bond. It's good to know neither Bass or Timberlake are tearin' up each other's hearts.
