New 'Spidey' Trailer Shows Peter's Many Enemies

"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer" seems to be the theme of the third trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which showcases Peter's BFF/frenemy Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), Electro (Jaime Foxx), and teases an appearance by famed comic book villains Rhino, The Green Goblin and even Dr. Octopus (Doc Oc, as he's more fondly known). While the first film teased the dark and secret past of Peter Parker's father, it seems this movie will feature more of an origin story for Peter. The trailer alludes to the fact that before he died, Mr. Parker was holding onto a major secret involving Oscorp Industries.

But like any true superhero, Peter's biggest battle lies within himself: the choice between his obligation to protect his city's citizens as Spider-Man, and to live out his life as a normal — ok, normal-ish — teen along side high school sweetheart Gwen Stacy. Because as the late Uncle Ben once said, "with great power comes great responsibility." And it appears Parker must harness all his power to defeat the onslaught of villains the second Amazing Spider-Man film will bring.
