by Emily McClure

As any beauty addict knows, the world of makeup can be totally weird. From using blood in a face mask to using lipstick under our eyes, there seems to be no limit to what people will do in the name of beauty. However, even though some of these may sound crazy, there are a lot of weird and oddly specific makeup hacks out there that actually work. While many of these hacks may not be your next go-to makeup step, they are perfect for those who want to play around with their routine or need an easy solution for a beauty blunder.

Personally, I love weird makeup hacks. It just goes to show that makeup is truly an art form, and isn't limited to traditional mindsets. It's great for not only expressing your creativity, but pushing your own limits. In essence, it's all about having fun. Who wouldn't want to set their eyeliner on fire or rub ice on their face? It may sound odd, but these tricks totally work. Here are nine weird, and oddly specific makeup hacks that can transform your beauty routine.

Don't let the name fool you. Diaper rash cream is perfect for those who are suffering from dry, red skin. According to Gurl.com, the cream is incredibly moisturizing, and contains anti-inflammatory properties that help to soothe redness in the skin.

3. Place Your Blush Two Fingers Away From Your Nose

In order to get a beautiful flush, makeup artist Wayne Goss recommended that makeup wearers apply their blush two fingers away from their nose. This ensures that the color is far enough away from the center of the cheeks, so you look more rosey instead of red.

4. Don't Use A Heavy Foundation During Allergy Season

According to StyleCaster.com, antihistamines in allergy medicine can leave the skin feeling dry and tight. Bring your skin back to life during allergy season by opting for a tinted moisturizer instead.

OK, this may not seem weird to the average person, however, mixing your primer with your foundation is kind of nuts to most beauty fanatics. Apparently, mixing your primer in with your foundation is a great way to avoid caked-on makeup. According to Today.com, this helps to break down the consistency of the foundation without losing its coverage.

6. Use Fake Blood As Blush
