Snapchat's face swap feature is a magical thing. Well, if you don't mind potentially having nightmares. Although some celebrities look crazy-different when using the app, others wind up looking like identical twins. Take the Kardashian-Jenner family, for instance. It turns out they look more alike than you ever imagined. On Monday, Kylie Jenner posted a face swap video with Kourtney Kardashian and it practically defies logic. It makes me wonder: Did these two even look that much alike to begin with?
Just take a look at the above photo. Sure, they both have dark hair and perfectly contoured faces, but their facial features are distinctly different. The fact that they have half of the same DNA partly explains why they resemble each other, but the face swap tool tends to be kind of wonky. I've tried it out with my own sisters and let's just say the results are terrifying. Anytime we try it, we look more like monsters than actual people. Plus, think about how different Kourtney looked when she swapped faces with Scott Disick. That's why it blows my mind how similar Kourt and Kylie look.
Check out the video for yourself below. Perhaps the best part of the entire thing is Kris Jenner, casually creeping in the background. It would have been hilarious if the face swap detection picked up her face instead.
This isn't the first time the Kardashian-Jenners ruled face swap. The other siblings have tested it out and every time, the resemblance is uncanny. Does the family have some kind of stake in the app, where it makes them look flawless? It's beyond confusing, since the rest of Hollywood resembles aliens. Kylie & Kim
Between the hair and the brows, these two are like undercover twins in their face swap video. I can barely tell which sister is which. Meanwhile, when you see them normally, they look alike — but not as much so.
Kendall & Kylie
Ever since they were the youngest stars on Keeping Up With The Kardashians , Kendall and Kylie have looked alike. Still, they each had distinct features. With this face swap, it all blurs together and I'm utterly confused.
Kourtney & Kim
Sure, Kourt and Kim look similar, but not as much in real-life as they do in their face swap. Once again, Kim's face is totally interchangeable with her sisters'.
Kourt & Scott
I just threw this one in to show just how scary some face swaps can be. It perfectly illustrates how the app tends to distort people. I can barely see Disick or Kourtney in either of those faces.
Congrats to the Kardashian-Jenner fam for beating the system and somehow discovering a way to flawlessly use the Snapchat face swap feature. Meanwhile, almost everybody else looks like swamp creatures. Is it good genes or some kind of app hack? The world may never know.
