The Urban Decay x Alice Lipsticks Are So Unique

OK, so we already knew that the renewed Urban Decay x Alice in Wonderland collaboration would include an eyeshadow palette. But the new Urban Decay x Alice Through the Looking Glass collection includes five lipsticks that take inspo from the whimsical, time-honored fairytale. Since UD's blockbuster palettes are the stuff of makeup legends and due to the fact that the 2010 UD x Book of Shadows collabo palette was an instant classic, the new palette was hinted about, expected, and of course welcomed. But the inclusion of adventurous lipsticks really puts this collection over the top. What colors do the Urban Decay x Alice Through the Looking Glass lipsticks come in?

The lipsticks are spectacular and they come in anything but standard shades. I'm talking blue and royal purple. They are unique, thanks to their playful whimsy... just like the titular heroine. These lipsticks are limited edition and have a $18 price tag.

There is Alice, which is a soft, golden neutral. Iracebeth is rich and matte red, since she is the Red Queen. Miranda is a deep berry. If you are feeling brave with your lipstick, you can rock the midnight blue Time or the regal purple Mad Hatter.

The Urban Decay x Alice Through the Looking Glass collection lands online on May 1 and in stores on May 5 ahead of the film's May 27 release.

The packaging is pretty bold and beautiful, as well.

They are just gorgeous, aren't they? And they totally remind me of the earliest days of Urban Decay, when colors that you couldn't get from any other mainstream makeup line were readily available and the norm, courtesy of UD.

Brand founder Zomnir told Women's Wear Daily that the reason the brand decided to add lipsticks to this year's Alice collection was born of something so simple and pure: a love of the product.

She said, "We are just so in love with doing lipsticks now that we decided to throw them in, plus it made a lot of [sense] since we're doing [the palette] character-based, and there was an eye and lip story to tell with these characters."

It's a good thing Zomnir and her team are so "in love" with lipsticks since it means UD Beauty Junkies, lip lovers, and Alice fans can swipe their pouts with to-die-for shades.

The packaging and the lipsticks themselves are just divine.

These lip shades are all daring and lovely in their own way.
