Where To Get Tickets To OVO Fest

by Allie Gemmill

We'll have to wait a few more days before our bae Drake releases Views from the 6 on April 29, but he's wasting no time in continuing the hype with his announcement of the 7th annual OVO Fest, running from July 31 to August 1. For those who don't know, OVO Fest first began in 2009 in Drake's hometown of Toronto. Soon thereafter, in 2012, Drake founded OVO Sound, the record label which is currently home to acts like dvsn and Majid Jordan. That's right: Drake's not only a world-class rapper, he is also the head of a music label. What can't this man do? So, where can you buy tickets to the 2016 OVO Fest?

It looks like April 29 will be the magic day yet again. On top of buying Views from the 6, be sure to head to Ticketmaster to pick up your OVO Fest tickets. You have the option of purchasing tickets for the entire festival or, if you're simply interested in catching Drizzy and Future for their specific dates, head over to the Summer Sixteen Tour page and snag seats for their July 31 or August 1 dates. If you're like me, you'll be sending your good vibes to Toronto on the day of the festival, instead waiting for the Summer Sixteen Tour to roll into a city near you.

This year's OVO Festival is going to be major for a number of reasons. It will be returning to Toronto (start saving that spare change, folks). OVO Fest's pedigree is pretty stellar: previous acts have included Eminem, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and The Weeknd. From what we know of the line-up this year, there's nothing but chill vibes set to take the stage. Not only will Drake and Future be using a portion of the dates as the part of their Summer Sixteen Tour, but the first night of the festival will be spotlighting an OVO Bounce event with Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa as part of their own tour, aptly titled The High Road.

Highlights of the tour include:

July 26 - United Center, Chicago, IL

August 4 - Madison Square Garden, New York, NY

August 19 - Verizon Center, Washington, D.C.

August 21 - Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA

September 3 - Toyota Center, Austin, TX

September 7 - STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, CA

September 11 - T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV

While this announcement leaves a lot to the imagination, never fear. If we know Drake, we know that there's some goodness in store for this year's OVO Fest that he is holding back from telling us. Oh Drake, you're set on making this summer a great time to be alive, aren't you?
