Tomorrow you can be everyone's favorite coworker if you're the first one to figure out how to get a dozen free Krispy Kreme donuts on April 28. In celebration of World Superhero Day, Krispy Kreme is offering a nationwide deal to customers — if you buy a dozen donuts like the #SuperHero you are, you automatically get another dozen for free for your ~sidekick~. Now instead of gnawing at your nail beds worrying about the fates of your favorite Avengers in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie, you can gnaw on a delicious donut! But let's be real — since you're (maybe) going to share with loved ones, you basically are an Avenger now.
“It’s a sweet way to celebrate the Super Heroes in your life!” says Krispy Kreme about this baller deal. “Costumes are not required, just super encouraged.”
Now you only have two problems — figuring out who your sidekick is, and figuring out how to not eat all 24 of your prized donuts before you get them into the break room. Personally, I'm not even going to bother. I am the villain in this delicious story. All two dozen will be consumed before I leave the premises.
This isn't the first donut deal that Krispy Kreme has #blessed customers with lately. For their 78th birthday last July, they offered customers a deal where they could buy a dozen donuts for 78 cents. So fellow dessert sleuths, keep your eyes peeled and your mouths watered for upcoming deals surrounding July 13, Krispy Kreme's official birthday.
But you might be able to reap the benefits of free donuts even sooner than that — National Donut Day is on June 5, and last year Krispy Kreme marked the occasion by giving every customer who walked into the store a free donut. Fingers and digestive systems crossed that we get a repeat performance of that deal this year. In any case, it looks like 2016 is shaping up already to be a good year to get your dessert on. So don your capes and get thee to thy nearest Krispy Kreme tomorrow, fellow donut havers — for the sake of yourself and for all of human and coworker-kind.
