How Much Does A Birthday Cake Frappuccino Cost?

Your birthday comes but once a year, right? Au contraire, my friend! Our favorite coffee giant is bringing back the most birthday-ish drink of them all, and now we can all celebrate — but only for five days. How much does the Starbucks Birthday Cake Frappuccino cost, you ask? It varies by marketing, meaning it'll be a little different depending on which part of the country you're in; but for anywhere between a mere $4.25 and $4.95, you can celebrate with a 12-ounce Tall. A whole birthday party for under $5? Sounds like a bargain to me.

The Birthday Cake Frappuccino is a coffeeless, creme-based drink, made of a swirling blend of vanilla bean and hazelnut, and topped off with pink whipped cream. Pink! It's basically frosted funfetti cake in a cup. And if there's one thing everybody loves, it's frosted funfetti cake. It's available starting today (that is, April 28); but if you'd like to partake in the par-tay, you must do so by May 2, at which point the Birthday Cake Frappuccino will make a dramatic exit and leave us feeling far less festive.

But the Birthday Cake Frapp isn't the only way to celebrate a birthday for just a few bucks. If you're looking for more fun birthday things to do for under $5, here are some ideas to get you started.

1. Party Like A Rockstar, But For Way Cheaper

If you're taking your birthday shindig to Vegas, take advantage of what is known as reverse happy hour. While most places stop serving food at 10:00pm, some bars and restaurants in Sin City will extend this for all of the performers just leaving their shows. You can sometimes purchase food and drinks for mere dollars. (Remember to tip well and be polite!)

2. Celebrate With A Birthday Gift In a Jar

Get creative on a budget with these ideas for a birthday gift in a jar. They include chocolate face masks, DIY bath salts, jam, and spices.

3. Get Free Stuff

If you sign up for Starbucks' rewards programs, you get a birthday treat for free! It looks like you can also head to Krispy Kreme, Baskin Robbins, and Cold Stone Creamery for free goodies, too. If you'd prefer something non-edible, you can instead become a Sephora "Beauty Insider" and get a free gift on your special day.

4. Buy A Cheaper Flight

Cure your raging case of wanderlust and book a flight with Delta Airlines, who will knock $100 off a trip booked through one of their vacation packages for your whole birthday month. While it's true that you might not be able to fly for just $5, it is still a fantastic deal.

5. Explore An Island

If you're hanging around California, you can get a free birthday pass for the Catalina Express and be whisked away to the island in about an hour.

6. Go See All The Cute Animals

Check a nearby zoo for admission prices. For example, the National Zoological Park in Washington D.C. is part of the Smithsonian Institution and doesn't charge for entry.
