Drake's "Summer's Over Interlude" Is Sung By...

If you've listened to to Drake's new album, Views, there's a good chance you're digging the smooth "Summer's Over Interlude." But since the song is not performed by Drake himself, you might be asking who sings the "Summer's Over Interlude"? Who is this talented singer? The artist's name is Majid Al Maskati, and he happens to have strong ties to Drake. No, I'm not just referring to him being featured on Views. Actually, you're more familiar with him than you might realize.

Al Maskati is part of a musical duo known as Majid Jordan. The other half of the duo is producer Jordan Ullman. Majid Jordan might sound familiar, as it should, especially for Drake fans. Ullman helped produce "Feel No Ways", another track from Views.

That is obviously one strong connection to the 29-year-old rapper, and the other is that Majid Jordan is signed to OVO (October's Very Own) Sound, Drake's record label. If that isn't enough, Drake has also been featured on "My Love" from Majid Jordan's 2016 self-titled album. The duo also co-wrote and are featured in Drake's hit song, "Hold On, We're Going Home".

As for Al Maskati himself (on the right in the below photo), per Majid Jordan's official website, he ended up in Toronto (Drake's hometown) by way of Bahrain and London. He ended up meeting Ullman in 2011 at the University of Toronto, where they were both students.

Per a January New York Times interview with Majid Jordan, Al Maskati was studying business in school and planned on going back to Bahrain after graduation. Good thing he didn't, because Al Maskati and Ullman started making music together and, really, the rest is history.

Clearly, they found their calling.
