Kylie Jenner Identifies As A Feminist

by Kristie Rohwedder

Kylie Jenner is a reality TV star. She's a social media maven. She's a style icon. She's the reigning lip gloss imperator. And she is proud to be an empowered woman. In the June 2016 issue of Glamour UK, cover girl Kylie Jenner said she is a feminist. Here’s what the youngest Kardashian-Jenner kid told the mag:

I do consider myself a feminist … I’m a young woman, for one thing, and I don't depend on a man or anybody else. I make my own money and start my own businesses, and I feel like I'm an inspiration for a lot of young girls who want to stand on their own.

Yes, Kylie! Keep on waving that feminist flag.

Later on in the interview, Jenner expanded on her fiscal independence:

I haven't had a dollar of my mum's money for five years … Ever since I started earning my own money, I've paid for everything: all my cars, houses, clothes, everything. I like to know exactly what's going on and I'm actually quite careful with what I spend. We all are as a family.

Say what you will about the Kardashian-Jenners (I’ll start: I love them unabashedly), but that brood seems to know a thing or two about managing their ducats.

Also? Houses. As in more than one abode. At 18 years old she owns multiple homes. I know it's unhealthy to compare your own life to that of a celebrity, but holy cannoli. Don't mind me as I wistfully stare out the rental window of my rental living room in my rental apartment.

The full interview (and the June issue of Glamour UK) will be out on May 5.
