Meet Ari Gold's New 'Entourage' Assistant

by Mallory Schlossberg

Lloy'd movin' on up, so there's a new assistant in the house for Entourage! It looks like Ari Gold's Kid Cudi will play Ari Gold's assistant in the movie version of the super popular HBO show, which is exciting, because this means that the movie is REALLY HAPPENING. Though it's been three years since the show put a cap on its eight year run, the whole crew seems like they'll be back, including pretty much everyone: Kevin Connolly, Adrien Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jeremy Ferrara, Jeremy Piven, Rex Lee, Debi Mazar, Perry Reeves, as well as Emmanuelle Chriqui and Rhys Choiro. Haley Joel Osment will also continue his great journey in stepping beyond his permanent implantation in all of our minds as "the kid from The Sixth Sense" with a featured role (The Spoils of Babylon is certainly facilitating that plight).

Anyway, Kid— who goes by Scott Mescudi when he's in full-fledged form as an ac-tor, is about to blow up your silver screen (literally) when his new film, Need For Speed, comes out in which he'll ride fast cars and do other masculine stuff opposite Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul (…bitch). He's also recently wrapped two other films, James White and Two Night Stand. On top of all of that, he's performing at Coachella, so Mescudi's a pretty busy guy right now.

No word on release date yet, but Doug Elliman, who finished the script back in 2012, will also direct. The movie, which takes place six months after the series ended, allegedly has taken awhile to get off of its feet because of the cast members' high salary requirements, which incidentally, seems like life and art running a bit tangentially to each other.
