Chad Is Def The Villain On 'The Bachelorette'

by Alaina Urquhart-White

One of the best parts of each season of The Bachelorette or The Bachelor is getting to see who is going to fit into what role during the course of the season. Who will be in the final three? Who will be the drunk one? Who will be the villain? Trying to see who's going to be the house villain is always the most fun. After all, who doesn't love to watch a bad guy/girl? It's simply great television. Now that our beloved JoJo will be the Bachelorette starting May 23, fans get evaluate a whole new cast I'm hopeful dudes to see who may not be there for ~the right reasons.~ Is Bachelorette contestant Chad this season's villain? After careful evaluation, Bustle's Bachelor podcast has reached a conclusion about his motivations on the show.

This week, Romper TV Editor Allison Piwowarski and Bustle Entertainment Editor Kelsea Stahler got right down to business assessing the men who will be competing for JoJo's heart. And, Chad is their favorite for the title of season villain. He simply fits the bill too perfectly. For one, like Allison says during the podcast, his name is Chad. I'm sure most JoJo fans remember that last season her ex-boyfriend tried his very best to get his 15 minutes of fame by first sending her flowers and a love letter while Ben was visiting her hometown and later after she had been named The Bachelorette, he basically eviscerated her in an interview. Oh, his name is Chad.

That alone wouldn't bode well for this Chad's chances, but his show bio also paints a pretty gag-worthy picture. Hold onto you eyeballs because they may roll so hard into the back of your head that they come shooting out of your skull. Sure, every contestant has to answer the general survey that ABC gives them for the show but most contestants at least try to look like a decent human being via their answers. Not Chad. Kelsea and Allison pointed to the first question as a red flag right off the bat. His favorite movie is The Notebook. As Kelsea stated, "It's the ultimate pandering."

Things got really gross when he answered the question asking who in the world he most admires. He wrote, "myself in 10 years, alright alright alright." Yup. He quoted Matthew McConaughey's character from Dazed and Confused, all while maintaining an air of narcissism that makes its way into almost every answer from there on out. In fact, he uses that same answer two more times.

The real cherry on top of his villainous sundae is when he was asked, "What is your greatest achievement to date?" He answered that his greatest achievement is, "Being born good looking." I literally can't. I cease to can. As Allison said in the podcast, "It's such a Chad answer."

Chris Harrison did tell Yahoo that Chad was going to be one to look out for this season. He's basically someone you're either going to love or hate. I'm pretty sure I'm going to hate him. I guess we will have to tune in and see for ourselves if he lives up to all the hype.
