The One Blush You Need This Summer

by Jessica Willingham

When it comes to beauty, we tend to associate brands with the products they're most famous for. BECCA Cosmetics has shimmering highlighters, Kat Von D makes cult-favorite liquid lips, and Sigma Beauty has impeccable brushes for amazing prices. Right? Not exactly. There's more to Sigma Beauty than their incredible tools. If you're wondering what blush you need this summer, look no further than Sigma.

Like I said, Sigma Beauty is best known for their makeup brushes. Almost everyone, including makeup artist and YouTube vlogger Jaclyn Hill and Jeffree Star, have sung Sigma's praises when it comes to brushes. But aside from a great brush for an even better deal, what do they have? In short, everything.

I explored the Sigma site and discovered that beyond their brushes, they have a full line of makeup products, from eye shadows, lip liners, lipsticks, mascara, and even brow products. But what really stands out is their blushes.

I tried out their range of Aura Power Blushes and was blown away by the quality. They're highly pigmented with huge pans of product, and worked perfectly when paired with the brushes.

Each Aura Powder Blush retails for $19 and are available on sigmabeauty.com. If you've never added a makeup item to your shopping cart while shopping on Sigma's site, now's the time. These blushes are going to look gorgeous on you come summer!

1. Cor De Rosa

This shade is described as an "earthy and flushed" shade with hints of brown, orange, and mauve. It's a great natural shade for medium to deep skintones, and could even act as a bronzing powder for light skin.

2. In The Saddle

This matte bronzing powder has a reddish tint, so it's comparable to the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzers.

3. Lady Slipper

Cool-toned, opaque pinks and purples are my absolute favorite blush tones for warm skin. The color tones are so complimentary, you'll wonder why you haven't been using more of this color.

4. Nymphaea

This color is a much brighter, punchier coral color in real life than what the picture shows. It's a bright, matte, Barbie-pink coral that is so pretty for a sun kissed glow.

5. Pet Name

Pet Name is probably my favorite of the bunch. It's a natural, muted soft peach that can be used alone on the apples of the cheeks to create a natural no-makeup makeup look.

6. Sigma Pink

This bright, magenta pink will look amazing on deeper skin tones, adding a jewel-toned glow that works for the office or can build to a night out look.
