7 Ways To Use Your Caboodle As An Adult

by Megan Grant

Your days of Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers and roll-on body glitter may be over (or maybe not), but you don't have to let the '90s slip away completely. I don't care what anyone says: Caboodles are 100 percent acceptable for adults. Whether you're hanging on to your original or you went out and bought a new one, there are still plenty of ways to use your Caboodle as an adult. Don't judge me. You know it's true.

If you think about it, Caboodles aren't just for make-up. You can put anything in there! The whole point is to keep stuff organized, tidy, and in one place. You can do that with just about anything, regardless of your age. Heck, if they made Caboodles big enough, I'd use one for my wine.

Anyway...

Point is: You always have a reason to use a Caboodle. No excuses! There are plenty of ways to relive your favorite decade and keep the child inside of you alive with every '90s kid's favorite make-up box. No matter how old you are (age is just a number!) and regardless of your interests, you can always have all kinds of Caboodly fun. Here are seven ways to do it:

1. The Old School Method

Fill your Caboodle with all of your amazing cosmetics, silly! Your matte lipstick, your contouring and highlighting products, your eyebrow pencil and lipliner — all of them will feel right at home inside this '90s staple item.

2. Arts And Crafts

Does it look like Pinterest vomited in your living room? Are you obsessed with upcycling old wine bottles, painting your own inspirational quotes on canvas, and glueing fake jewels onto old pop cans? (I'm not saying I am. We're talking about you here.)

(OK, I am.)

Your Caboodle will serve as an excellent storage container for your supplies, tools, and materials.

3. The Most '90s Seamstress Ever

You know what sucks to lose? Needles. Nothing is scaring than losing a needle. Never lose a needle again — put them in your Caboodle! Along with thread, scissors, pins, measuring tape, and thimbles.

4. Your Personal Nail Salon

For a while, I was using my Caboodle for my nail polish, files, buffers, clippers, and all other nail-related tools. Aside from the fact that most of my nail polish is about 80 years old, having it all organized in one spot kind of made me feel like I was in a legit nail salon.

5. A Makeshift Toolbox

Caboodles are pretty much toolboxes with sparkles so why not use yours as an actual toolbox? Good news: You totally can. I'm not telling you to try to cram your power drill in there; but tiny screwdrivers, screws, nails, little hammers, and wrenches could all possibly fit inside. Tools become totes fun when they're kept inside a Caboodle, and we all know how boring tools are.

6. The Coolest First Aid Kit Ever

If you get a nasty boo-boo, nothing will cheer you up quite like a Caboodle emergency kit. Fill yours with Disney Band-Aids, antibacterial spray, and gauze, and your inner '90s child will be crying tears of joy.

7. The Hairy Caboodle

Don't know how to organize all your bobby pins? Caboodle. Need a home for your hairbands? Caboodle. Snappy clips? Scrunchies? Travel-size bottles of hairspray? Caboodle, Caboodle, Caboodle.
