Updates To Shooting At T.I. Concert In Manhattan

On Wednesday, May 25, a shooting occurred during a T.I. concert in Manhattan. Four people were shot around 10:15 p.m. ET, according to New York Police Department.

The concert was held at Manhattan's Irving Plaza, a music hall in New York City.

Of the four people shot, one was killed and three were injured, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD). Three of the victims were men, and one was a woman. All four of the victims were taken to local hospitals for immediate treatment.

The victim who died was a 33-year-old man who was shot in the stomach and pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai Beth-Israel Hospital, Chief of Manhattan South Detectives William Aubry said at a news conference. A 34-year-old man was shot in the chest and is in critical condition. Another 33-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were both shot in the leg, and they are expected to survive.

Myles Miller, a reporter for PIX11 News in NYC, tweeted that one of the victims had been taken to a nearby hospital at New York University. The four victims were carried out by stretchers, and one of them had a head wound. Aubry confirmed that the victim who was fatally shot was at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel Hospital, two of the victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital, and a fourth walked into NYU Lagone Medical Center with a gunshot wound.

The multi-level concert venue can hold 1,025 people. The shooting occurred on the third-floor green room area at the music hall just after 10 p.m. ET.

The motive for the shootings remains unclear, and as of midnight no arrests had been made. Police reportedly have surveillance video of the gunman in the third-floor green room. According to the video, three of the victims were shot inside and one was shot outside.

Two performers were on stage when shots were fired, Maino and Uncle Murda. Another rapper, Troy Ave, was shot ― a bullet reportedly grazed his leg before he was taken to a hospital.
