A day no one was expecting finally arrived: Kylie Jenner and Tyga split in the middle of May — seemingly for good. Since then, the reality star is already the subject of dating rumors. Two weeks ago, people speculated that Jenner was dating rapper PARTYNEXTDOOR (real name: Jahron Anthony Brathwaite). Well, now it seems like those rumors may very well be true. On Wednesday night, Jenner and PARTYNEXTDOOR went on a bowling date, according to Us Weekly. From the looks of the photos, they did appear quite coupley. But does that actually mean they're dating? Let's assess both sides before jumping to any conclusions.
On the one hand, bowling dates are pretty common. After all, Drake and Rihanna went bowling at Lucky Strikes in 2009 and that was what launched their years' worth of romance rumors. He later rapped about that very date in his song "Fireworks," so I'm guessing there was a spark at the bowling alley. It's a cute throwback to middle-school dates. Plus, Jenner did seem to be clinging to PARTYNEXTDOOR and have her arm around him in a picture. That could qualify as flirty behavior.
Another point to consider in the "they're totally together" argument is that it took awhile where Jenner and Tyga were hanging out and claiming to be friends before they came clean about their relationship status. This could be a similar situation, where they could be dating, but she doesn't want the whole world to know about her relationship just yet, so she's keeping it causal. Especially since her breakup really only was a few weeks ago.
On the flip side, these two could actually just be friends. Jenner has plenty of male friends — Harry Hudson, for instance — so that doesn't mean it was automatically a romantic hangout. People didn't specify whether it was just Jenner and PARTYNEXTDOOR, but she barely goes anywhere without a posse, so if her whole crew of friends was there, that also lends itself to be not really a date. The fact that Jenner had her arm around him could be a totally platonic move, like maybe she was just whispering something to him.
Regardless, the moral of the story is that no one knows for sure. Whether they're together or not, it's nice to see Jenner is out there having fun and going bowling, not sitting around moping over her ex.
