Selena Gomez Is Flaunting Lighter Hair

by May Sofi

When it comes to hair, celebrities love to fool us. Remember when Gigi Hadid made us believe she got a bob at the American Music Awards? Or how about the time her sister Bella rocked faux bangs at the Cannes Film Festival? Yes, stars and their hairstylists have got lots of tricks up their sleeves, which is why a recent photo has got me wondering — is Selena Gomez bronde hair real? Let's delve into the evidence.

First of all, if you aren't familiar with the term "bronde," it basically means a prefect blend of brown and blonde, and it skyrocketed to popularity about a year ago when Blake Lively did it, and now it seems to have come back in style.

A photo of Gomez has recently surfaced on her makeup artist's Twitter, and her hair looked significantly lighter than usual. Her signature raven-colored mane appeared to be much more on the blonde side, with sun-kissed dirty blonde streaks framing her face, and slightly darker, caramel-colored pieces towards the back. So did she or did she not dye her hair? The photo totally makes it seem like she did. Check out the image so you can decide for yourself.

The 23-year-old has lightened her locks many times in the past, so it wouldn't be that shocking if she opted to do so again.

One of Gomez's latest public appearances was at the Met Gala, and her hair was pretty dark during that event.

However, her tresses look to have been getting lighter since the start of her Revival tour.

And even lighter...

All leading up to the latest photo of her bronde-colored mane on the set of a Pantene photo shoot, further making me believe she has been gradually highlighting her hair this whole time.

It looks different, right? Either way, she looks incredible.
