'Real Housewives' Couples That We Wish Never Split

by Marenah Dobin

Real Housewives has been a franchise for a long time now, which means that us loyal viewers have seen our fair share of breakups. Sometimes, I've been pretty happy to see these women leave some of the losers they've dated behind. But other times, I have been heartbroken by the demise of these relationships I grew to adore after years of watching them on TV. There are so many Real Housewives couples that I wish never split up.

I don't know if I was just disillusioned based on what I wanted to see or if I am just way too invested in strangers' relationships, but I still can't get over some of these Real Housewives couples splitting up. It's a reality TV cliche at this point that coupes appearing on a show together lead to the end of their relationship, but I still can't help feeling sad when I see a relationship that I'm fond of come to an end.

I am (embarrassingly) holding out hope that some of these people are going to get back together, but that really does not seem to be the case. At least they can relive the, seemingly, happy times whenever Real Housewives marathons are running on Bravo.

When Yolanda first joined Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she was all about her husband, David Foster. She loved taking care of him and doing sweet things to surprise him. It really seemed like these two had such a strong love, so I was pretty devastated when the couple announced their divorce. I still refuse to believe it.

Vicki Gunvalson & Donn Gunvalson

Real Housewives of Orange County would be such a different show if Vicki and Donn stayed together. Could you imagine the world without Brook Ayers in the spotlight? I would be all for that. It was clear that Vicki and Donn were struggling to make time for each other on Real Housewives of Orange County. It seemed like they were on the right track when they renewed their vows, but they broke up soon after that. Aside from saving the fans from having to watch Brooks on TV, it really is sad that Donn hasn't been on RHOC in forever.

I really couldn't believe it when Adrienne and Paul broke up. They were the most relatable couple on RHOBH and their constant bickering really just seemed like it was playful and cute. I never though that they were really fighting, so I am still so shocked that they broke up and they ended up having one of those nasty "he said, she said" divorces. They were really adorable and seemed liked such a lovable and supportive couple.

Bethenny was on this quest to see if she could "have it all" and it really seemed like things were coming together for her. She had a thriving business empire, a super cute daughter, and a happy marriage. Now, it seems like Bethenny is in the middle of the longest divorce in history. Apparently, Jason was not the one for her, but as someone who watched her on TV for years, it was very sad to see her go through so much drama in such a public manner.

Ramona and Mario were all over each other on Real Housewives of New York City. They even renewed their vows (the reality TV kiss of death, if you ask me), but it was still pretty shocking when the reports came out that they were divorcing. At this point, Ramona seems fully renewed and happy as her new single self, but it did take some time to get there.

I still can't believe what ended up going down in these relationships. I am almost more devastated over these breakups than any of my own. At least the fans will get to relive the better times whenever old episodes repeat.
