Remember how The Real World was seven strangers picked to live in a house? Since the beginning of reality television, casts have been chosen on the basis that no one on the show knows each other. What’s the fun in casting people who will break off into their own special group and leave everyone behind? That’s usually the case on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, but on JoJo’s season, two of the contestants already know each other! Turns out, Nick B. and Wells knew each other before The Bachelorette. They went to Ole Miss and played rugby together, according to an Instagram pic Nick posted.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that two Bachelor or Bachelorette stars were acquainted with each other before the show. People in Bachelor Nation talk to each other all the time — Nick Viall and Kaitlyn were in contact before her season of The Bachelorette and even JoJo admitted she knew who Jordan Rodgers was prior to her filming starting (he does have a high-profile family, so that’s not that hard to figure out). Also, Samantha and Joe on Bachelor In Paradise were rumored to have had a relationship prior to filming Bachelor in Paradise, which they both denied until they were caught on camera talking about it. Recently, Nick B. posted a picture of him and Wells from their days at Ole Miss. Look at their little baby faces!
They've clearly grown up quite a bit since their college days. Let's see what they've been up to lately.
Wells Is Hanging With His Dog
Seriously, I can't get over the fact that Wells has a bloodhound and it's named Carl. It could really not warm my heart more. Even if Wells doesn't bring home many friends from The Bachelorette, he has man's best friend ready and waiting for him.
Nick Is Making The Most Of The Beach
Nick grew up in Mississippi and now lives in Florida, and he certainly takes advantage of the nice weather and the athletic skills he's growing down there. Look at that concentration on that volleyball! I bet he's a ringer on the court.
Wells Is Spending Time With Family
In my mind, I pegged Wells as an only child. I don't know why — it's just the feeling I got. Clearly, I was wrong, because he has a big family of equally attractive siblings, and they hang out a lot. Can I be adopted into the Adams family (not the creepy one)?
Nick Is Showing His Hunting Skills
Clearly an outdoors guy, Nick doesn't only spend his time on the beach, he also hunts.
Now that it's clear Nick and Wells knew each other in their past lives, it's strange it never came up on the show. I guess we can blame Chad taking up all the screen time for that one.
