11 ‘Bachelorette’ Guys Who Got Eliminated Too Soon

by Emily Lackey

It's bound to happen: During every season of The Bachelorette, 25 or 26 hot guys get into the same room, and despite their many stunning qualities, some are just overlooked. Sometimes, there are just too many guys to choose from — and in every competition, there can only be one winner. We've all seen deserving guys get eliminated way too soon on The Bachelorette time and time again, to the point where it's just the norm now. Show me a season of The Bachelorette, and I’ll show you at least three guys who didn’t get a fair shot. Already on JoJo’s season of The Bachelorette, there have been a number of guys who, when she passed on giving them a rose, I really started to question her judgment.

But I guess I can’t get too mad at the bachelorette of the moment. After all, choosing between that many guys is hard. Plus, the Bachelorettes aren’t seeing everything the audience is seeing, like the one-on-one interviews and the stuff that goes on in the house. Her decision is influenced by other factors, and I respect that. Still, it always sucks to see a bunch of really good guys go home each season, long before they’ve been given a fair shot. Especially these ones:

Christian

Christian got a few weeks of airtime on JoJo’s season of The Bachelorette, but his backstory and sincerity didn’t get much beyond the first episode. He seemed like a total catch though — personally, I'dve liked to know more about him.

Ali

The guy with the sweetest limo entrance ever, Ali was blown away by being on The Bachelor and vying for JoJo’s heart. Really it was adorable, and I was super bummed when she sent him home. Especially since I was convinced that this guy had the heart to go all the way.

Nick B.

I might be biased about this one because I have a soft spot for engineers, but Nick B. felt like one of those outliers that ends up going all the way into hometown dates in the end because their feelings for each other, although quiet and steady, could not be denied. Guess not!

Ben Z.

On Katilyn’s season, Ben Z. went far, but not as far as I thought he would. I think he at least deserved a hometown date, especially after opening up to Kaitlyn so sincerely about his past and the losses he had suffered

Jonathan

Thankfully we got a little bit of Jonathan on Bachelor in Paradise after Kaitlyn’s season, but even there he was cast aside quickly. I never will understand that, because he always seemed like such a genuine guy to me, and one who was definitely ready for love.

Ryan B.

We barely got to know Ryan B. during Kaitlyn’s season of The Bachelorette, but any guy who lists Sliding Doors as one of his favorite movies is alright in my book.

Kirk

I’ll admit something here and now: Ali’s season of The Bachelorette was definitely my favorite, and it had a lot to do with the guys. I’m assuming the casting directors chose laidback guys because Ali is a laidback girl, but it was seriously like an embarrassment of riches with the guys she got. And Kirk was totally one of them!

Craig

Craig went pretty far during Ali’s season of The Bachelorette, but not far enough. The fact that he didn’t make it into the final two still bums me out, because he was cool and funny and so kind. What more could a girl ask for?

Brett

During Andi’s season of The Bachelorette, the fact that she sent this hairstylist home without having him first work his magic on her locks is a shame.

JJ

This guy should have stuck around during Andi’s season. For his pants alone.

Zach K.

I guess I’m showing my hand here a bit, but the fact that Desiree sent home a book publisher in the first few weeks of the show broke my literary-loving heart.

Nick R.

In week one of Desiree’s season, this magician and tailor was sent packing. Week one! Why Desiree would send home someone who could be both entertaining and come in handy during a fashion emergency astounds me.

If only these guys had been given an actual chance. I think they could have made it all the way into these bachelorettes' hearts.
