Watch This Groom Sob When He Sees His Bride

by Lara Rutherford-Morrison

There’s been a lot of awfulness in the news lately, so here’s a little sweetness for you: This video of a groom crying as his bride walks down the aisle — so hard that he can barely even look at her — has gone viral, and for good reason. Since popping up on Twitter on Wednesday, it’s garnered more than 39,000 “likes” and 30,000 retweets from fans of the emotional groom and his lovely bride. Basically, if this wedding video doesn’t turn you into the human embodiment of the happy-crying emoji, I don’t know what will.

Gabriel and Annabelle Deku got married in London on May 14. Two days ago, wedding video company De Rienzo Films posted a clip of the wedding online, showing Gabriel overcome with emotion as Annabelle walks down the aisle. “This has to be one of the most heartfelt, emotional bridal entrances we have ever filmed,” the company wrote.

“I was thinking ‘My goodness.’ I was in total disbelief that this day had finally come,” Gabriel Deku told BuzzFeed. He continued, “At the time we met, I had given up hope on this whole love thing. I thought this idea of having a life partner who would love and respect me unconditionally was only a story only told in movies. But, I was wrong! True love does exist.” (I’ll pause for a moment while you say “Awwwwww.”)

The video shows Gabriel struggling for composure, unable to look at Annabelle as she walks toward him. His groomsman, who surely wins the “Best Best Man” award, tells him, “Stand up. This is your moment, man. You look at your wife, now.”

And then everyone is crying.

And then Gabriel and Annabelle hug.

I’M NOT CRYING, YOU’RE CRYING.

This video shows a moving, emotional moment between two people that should renew our faith in love, and serve as a bright spot in our dark world, and so on and so forth, but can I just be superficial for a sec and point out how gorgeous this wedding is? I mean, look at this church:

(It’s St. Martin-in-the-Fields church in London, near Trafalgar Square. Though there’s been a church on this site since 1222, this one’s been there since 1726. Thanks, internet!)

And this veil:

And these beautiful people:

Seriously, every single bit of this, from the Georgian architecture to the adorably sobbing husband is #WeddingGoals.
