How To Make Champagne Gummy Bears

by Marion Bernstein

For those of you who love vodka gummy bears, prepare to be amazed, because I'm thrilled to report that champagne gummy bears are now a thing, and I'm here to tell you how you can make these boozy little treats at home.

But before you begin making your booze-infused bears, it's important to first establish your ideal setting for indulging in adult candy imbibery. Perhaps these gummies will accompany you during your next binge watching session of your favorite show that's currently streaming. Or maybe you'll bring this millennial delicacy to your next Bachelorette viewing. After all, everyone knows these bubbly little guys are here for the right reasons.

Are your bears meant for bigger bashes? Then consider busting them out during your next backyard barbecue. Not only will your vinous gummies serve as a refreshing effervescent treat under the hot summer sun, they'll also provide fodder for conversation. Planning a no-less-than-epic party this July 4? May I suggest red, white, and blue boozy bears? Just add some blue food coloring to a handful of white bears, let marinate overnight, and voilà, patriotic party bears.

Once you've decided where to enjoy your champagne gummy bears, you'll be ready to make them. Just follow the simple three-step recipe below, and you'll be basking in booze-infused bears in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 five ounce package of Haribo gummy bears (feel free to sub gummy worms, sharks, frogs, etc.)
  • 1 bottle of cheap Champagne (Prosecco or Cava will work well, too)
  • 1 bowl
  • 1 piece of plastic wrap

Directions:

  1. Place gummy bears in a medium-sized bowl. Cover with enough Champagne to ensure all bears are submerged.
  2. Cover bowl with plastic wrap.
  3. Refrigerate overnight.
  4. Unwrap bears and enjoy in your favorite setting.
