The saying goes that if you want to see how a guy will treat you, see how he treats his mother. And while that definitely seems like a solid piece of advice, it certainly isn't the only way to get a true glimpse of someone's personality, especially when you're dealing with something like ABC's The Bachelorette, where every contestant is putting on a show. So how do you get to know the real measure of JoJo Fletcher's Bachelorette suitors? I say, see how well they treat their pets. Owning an animal is a huge responsibility after all and requires a ton of TLC. So if a guy is a pet owner, odds are it's a reflection of his true inner character, which is why I took the liberty of rounding up some photos of The Bachelorette contestants with their dogs to help see who's truly worthy of JoJo's heart.
I mean, does it really get any better than seeing attractive men doting on their dogs? Honestly, it reaches a level of adorableness that will make all of these contestants seem rose-worthy. You may not have been sure what to make of these guys on camera (looking at you, Chad), but this allows their true colors to shine through. If there was ever a way to win over JoJo's and viewers' collective hearts, this would be it.
Chase
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this nap snuggle session between Chase and Hammer speaks volumes. Need I say more?

As if James hadn't already proven himself to be the sweetest guy ever, this image of him and his cute canine pretty much seals the deal.
Wells
Not only does Wells constantly post pics of himself with other pups in need of a good home, but he also shares some pretty special moments with his own dog, Carl the Bloodhound. In fact, Carl even has his own Instagram account now, so get ready to fall head over heels for both of these cuties.
Robby
Just look at all that love being shared. In the words of Chandler Bing, could they BE any cuter?

OK, so I don't think Luke necessarily owns any of these puppies, but rather is just visiting them to help promote dog rescuing, but still. Look at how they flock to him. That's got to be a good sign, right?
Grant
So not only is Grant a firefighter, but he's a firefighter who loves dogs? *swoons*

Looks like the perfect traveling companion to me. Anyone else up for a road trip with these two?
