13 Quotes From 90's Shows That Every Kid Knows

by Caitlyn Callegari

We do a fair share of reminiscing as children of the 90’s, but personally, I think it’s completely warranted. Think about it this way: We are all media-savvy people. We grew up inundated with mediums of communication that never existed previously, like the Internet. And, in those terms, it was an exciting time to be alive, especially when it came to all things entertainment. I mean, think of it this way: Us 90’s kids still know quotes from 90’s shows by heart, even though 17 years have passed since the end of the decade. Yes, I too am vomiting at that sobering math I just did. We’re so old, guys.

Our fleeting youth aside, we can still stay young by reliving our favorite 90’s shows on Netflix. Aka, our unsung nostalgic hero. Or, better yet, you can really just say young by keeping up with the various 90’s show memes that litter the Internet. These shows, and their words, have stuck with us for nearly two decades, which just goes to show how timeless they are in their content.

Here are 13 quotes from 90’s shows that every 90’s kid knows, no questions asked:

1. Full House

I mean, duh.

2. Sister, Sister

I still say this to guests who stay too long at my house. Lovingly, of course.

3. Family Matters

Epic.

4. Powerpuff Girls

"Sugar, spice, and everything nice. These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little girls. But, Professor Utonium accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction: Chemical X." Chills.

5. Dawson's Creek

OK, technically this quote was delivered in 2000, but I'm counting it because Dawson's Creek originated in the 90's. Besides, Team Pacey. Forever.

6. Hey Arnold!

"Move it, Football head!" Immortal words.

7. Boy Meets World

Girl, tell 'em.

8. Boy Meets World (Honorable Mention)

This was on all of my AOL profiles and away messages.

9. Full House, Part II

What? It had a lot of good ones.

10. Full House, Part III

I felt bad leaving Stephanie out. Sue me.

11. Rugrats

Good on you, Pickles.

12. Friends

Iconic.

13. Buffy The Vampire Slayer

This quote was a literally on a poster of Buffy I had hanging on my wall as a kid.

Oh, the 90's. We do miss you and your witticisms so.
