Watch John Legend Make Drunk-Food

by Christine DiStasio

Did you ever feel like your drunk munchies creation could win you a cash prize? Well now there's a show for that — MTV's new cooking competition series, Snack Off . The first sneak peek at the new series will air during Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory on Thursday night and will feature singer John Legend, Girl Code's Melanie Iglesias, and Big Black battling for The Golden Spork and a cash prize. Finally, someone's appreciating the art of the "drunchie" — what took you so long MTV?

The half-hour comedy-cooking show will be hosted by Eddie Huang and judged by a panel of esteemed, fanatical foodies that include Legend's wife, supermodel Chrissy Teigen, master chef Jason Quinn, and comedian Yassir Lester. So how will it work? Snack Off sounds like a less strict version of Food Network's Chopped. The three contestants are challenged to create the perfect snack with whatever they can find in the fridge and after each round, someone will get the boot.

In the promo, Iglesias was the first to get sent home — with Legend and his "Sloppy Joe Breakfast Sandwich" and Big Black with what looked like a cookie and Taylor ham sandwich making it to the next round. The promo ends there, but the show already looks like it'll be the best thing ever.
