Make Up For Ever x Icona Pop Lipsticks Are Coming

by Kali Borovic

Get ready, lipstick lovers: Another celebrity makeup launch is coming your way. Make Up For Ever is teaming up with Icona Pop and Colby Smith, their makeup artist, for an Artist Rouge Lipstick launch. On top of the already giant lipstick line, the pop duo is adding two brand new shades that are bolder than ever. You won't have to wait too much longer to get your hands on them either.

What do you get when you combine a pop duo, a makeup artist, and an iconic beauty brand? Lipstick shades like you've never seen before. The best friends and pop stars have gotten together with the rest of the collab team to create two new lipsticks — a red and a blue — that will launch in July 21 on the Make Up For Ever site. You'll also be able to pick them up from Sephora in August. Not only are the colors are perfect for late summer into fall, but they bring a pop of color to the already established 45 Artist Rouge Lipstick Collection.

“I love to work with Make Up For Ever, because it is so such a vibrant, iconic brand – especially for makeup artists,” Colby says in a press release. “It’s a brand that celebrates artistry, creativity and bold self-expression, and this unique partnership between Icona Pop, myself and the Artist Rouge collection truly brings those to life.”

This unconventional, creamy dark blue was Aino's choice. This summer has been all about the color for makeup companies, and this collab is no different. There's 31 other creamy shades in the Artist Rouge Lipstick Collection, but this one won't be around for long. Both the Icona Pop colors will be limited edition.

The second color was picked by Caroline. It's a velvety matte deep red, so there's one of each formula in the collection. While these two will only be around for a limited time, the other 45 Artist Rouge shades will stick around for good.

The philosophy of the two new lipsticks are "life's a stage." The colors aim to bring the Icona Pop personality to life. “Makeup is so important for us when we are on stage – we want to make our makeup more fun for our audience and also for ourselves,” says Aino in a press release. Caroline adds, “We express ourselves through music, but also through how we dress and how we wear our makeup."

Mark your calendars, people! This is one makeup launch you won't want to miss.
