Ben & Lauren's New Show Could Feature A Big Event

by Caitlyn Callegari

Bachelor and Bachelorette fans, get your snack pile ready and your wine bottles stocked, because Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are getting their own reality show. According to US Weekly, the "unscripted" show will be called Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After and it will premiere on Freeform in the fall. But I have one very pressing question about that title, and, subsequently, the show — does "happily ever after" insinuate that Higgins and Bushnell will get married on their reality show? Because, if not, the usage of that term is going against every fairytale ever.

Here's where it gets confusing. The site makes note that the planning of the wedding will be documented, but it makes no mention of the wedding itself occurring this season. If you're somewhat nervous about the wedding not being televised, let me reassure you. A private wedding doesn't seem like it's in the cards for this limelight pair. Higgins himself already defended televising his life and romance. He explains that there is no private type of life after being on The Bachelor, the instant celebrity aspect is still there.

He explained to to US Weekly, "After you walk away from The Bachelor, it’s not like your life becomes private. People still find out what you’re doing, so it’s not changing our life to be public."

Bushnell added, "We’re already used to sharing our lives with everyone else so we thought, Why not? It's a fun way to share life after The Bachelor." What does no mention of a televised wedding mean when it comes to the Ben and Lauren reality show news? I think they're going to pull a Rob & Chyna. I smell a two or three part special wedding event that will probably air after the season is already over, like Kardashian and Chyna are said to be doing with their baby's birth. After all, it's all about those Benjamins when it comes to dragging this type of reality phenomenon out — and no, I am not referring to Higgins.
