How To Buy Tickets With Ticketmaster Vouchers

by Megan Grant

As you've no doubt heard by now, Ticketmaster is currently handing out discount vouchers as the result of a settlement in a class action lawsuit. If you were one of about 50 million people who bought tickets on the platform between 1999 and 2013, you might have some vouchers for you waiting in your Ticketmaster account as we speak! And I have more good news, too: If you're wondering how to buy tickets with Ticketmaster vouchers, it's easy as pie.

According to Ticketmaster Insider, each class member gets one discount voucher for every Ticketmaster purchase they made between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013, with a maximum of 17 discount vouchers possible. To check and see if you have any vouchers, simply log into your Ticketmaster account and click on the My Vouchers link. If you'd like to try to apply the ticket voucher to an upcoming event, simply enter the voucher on the billing page. Heads up: You can't redeem vouchers in the Ticketmaster app, so you need to either do it from a desktop or laptop, or type the website URL into your smartphone's browser.

If you need a little extra help, here's a bit more info on exactly what to do:

1. Log Into Your Ticketmaster Account

Use your regular username and password. Once you're in, scroll down and click on "active vouchers" on the right side to see what voucher codes you have available.

2. See What You're Able To Redeem The Vouchers For

Visit LiveNation's website to determine what events your vouchers can be applied to. You can use your Ticketmaster login.

3. Choose Your Event And Pick Your Seats

This part is pretty much business as usual. Pick a good spot!

4. Choose Your Delivery Method

eTickets delivered at no additional cost? Yes please!

5. Apply Your Voucher

This is where you will go to apply your handy dandy discount: When you get to the payment page, scroll down until you see "Apply Voucher Code." Click on it.

6. Input Your Voucher Code

Paste the voucher code from your Ticketmaster account. If you're using more than one, be sure to do them one at a time, although also be aware that there are limits as to how many vouchers you can use for one purchase.

7. Continue Checking Out As Usual

Good job! Your voucher has been applied and you just got discounted tickets.
