Here's Why You Didn't Get Ticketmaster Vouchers

by Courteney Larocca

ICYMI, a class action lawsuit was filed against Ticketmaster and settled last month. But, thanks to the settlement in the dispute, Ticketmaster's loss may be your gain. As part of the settlement, the company is handing out free ticket vouchers to a select number of Live Nation events, along with discount codes to use on your orders. But, some people are now checking their Ticketmaster accounts and asking themselves, "Why didn't I get Ticketmaster vouchers?" Don't worry. I'm here to help.

The bad news is that not everyone is eligible to receive these vouchers. The Schlesinger v. Ticketmaster class action lawsuit was filed arguing that Ticketmaster failed to fully disclose to consumers all aspects of its UPS and Order Processing Fees. In the settlement, Ticketmaster agreed to provide all members of the class select Live Nation ticket vouchers and up to 17 coupon codes for $2.25 each off of future ticket purchases. And, if you used UPS delivery on any of the eligible tickets that you bought, you'll also find up to 17 UPS vouchers for $5 each.

In order to be eligible for these vouchers and credits however, you had to have purchased a ticket through the service between October 21, 1999 and February 27, 2013. If you didn't purchase tickets through Ticketmaster during that time frame, then, sadly, no free vouchers for you.

But, 50 million people are reported to have purchased tickets during this time, so if you don't have vouchers, chances are your friends do. And for those of you that know you bought tickets through Ticketmaster to Britney Spears' Oops!... I Did It Again Tour in 2000 and just aren't sure where to find your vouchers, all you have to do is log into your Ticketmaster account and click on the My Vouchers link. Then, the only thing left to do is figure out how you want to spend them.
