How To Order The Starbucks Orange Drink

This has definitely been the summer of Starbucks' Secret Menu, what with #PinkDrink and #PurpleDrink taking over Instagram feeds everywhere. But in case you were looking for even more summertime flavor to enter your life this season, one Starbucks store manager has invented what we might as well just call Starbucks Orange Drink, because that's exactly what it is — a vibrant citrusy iced beverage, with notes of both orange and mango. Wondering how to order the Starbucks Orange Drink for yourself? This yummy treat might be a part of Starbucks' fancy ~Secret Menu~ but that doesn't mean you have to be a part of an elite triple platinum gold star membership club in order to get your hands on it. You just have to know what to ask for when the barista goes to take your order.

For those not wholly familiar with the Starbucks Secret Menu, it basically consists of drinks that you won't normally find on the regular menu, but are made up of ingredients that the store typically already has on hand. Some of the most creative concoctions to come off the Secret Menu have come from the clever minds of customers craving something a little different, and from baristas who like to whip up original masterpieces of their own. In this case, the Orange Drink appears to be the brainchild of one Starbucks store manager Eric Olson, who shared the deets on this little number with FoodBeast. To make the beverage, Olson combines orange mango juice with two scoops of vanilla bean powder and pours it over ice. Then, he finishes the thing off with a splash of coconut milk. The end result looks a little like this:

In other words, it's stunning. So how do you order this yourself? Well, you could go up to your Starbucks barista and ask for an Orange Drink in the size of your choosing, but because the Secret Menu isn't something that's standardized at every store, they might not know what you're talking about. However, if you walk them through the ingredients involved — again, that's orange mango juice, two scoops of vanilla bean powder, and coconut milk — they should be able to make one for you, no problem. Give it a shot, and while you're at it, test out the Pink Drink and Purple Drink too. After all, summer is the perfect time to try something new.
